Course Aim: To provide students with advanced cinematography knowledge and practical skills, enabling them to independently and creatively plan, execute, and evaluate complex cinematographic solutions, combining creative vision with technical precision. To encourage the ability to work both individually and in a team, collaborating with other participants in the creative process from concept to final film result.

Learning Outcomes

Theoretical Level

  1. Explain advanced cinematography concepts, techniques, and principles of application.
  2. Analyse cinematographic choices in various films within a theoretical context (composition, lighting, colour, movement).
  3. Justify chosen creative and technical strategies based on film theory and principles of visual language.

Practical Level

  1. Independently select and apply camera, lighting, colour, and composition solutions according to the creative concept.
  2. Carry out filming tasks under real creative conditions, ensuring technical quality.
  3. Use appropriate equipment settings and techniques for different types of film scenes (day/night, interior/exterior, movement sequences).

Integration of Practical and Theoretical Levels

  1. Combine theoretical knowledge and practical skills in solving complex cinematographic tasks.
  2. Critically evaluate and reflect on one’s own and others’ cinematographic solutions, offering constructive improvements.
